Monday Night  - 2/4/13

This week we worked on a Greetings to Go kit by Club Scrap. The Orient Express kit.  I did not have their stamps for the kit so we used other stamps that I already had.  Club Scrap makes some wonderful kits!

This card was to have an image of a train engine.  I used a Tim Holtz stamp instead.

The background on the two cards above were stamp with Tim Holtz stamp set Going Somewhere.

Michael Strong Owl Blog Hop

I stamped the owl image on cream card stock and colored with Distress Ink markers.  I used liquid pearls to enhance the image.  The ovals are cut with spellbinders' dies.  I used Inka-Gold Gold paint on the scalloped oval.  After the paint was applied and dry. I buffed it to produce a high shine.  I also used same watered down Inka-Gold to paint the owl.  The oval with the owl image is pop dot to add dimension.

Please leave a comment on all of the blogs in the hop if you want a chance to win a MS Owl stamp.  A winner will be selected  and announced on February 10th on Hetty's Blog.  http://craftchaos.blogspot.com

I have been busy creating new cards for the card class I have with my friends.  Monday, January 7th I used the Art Impression Try-Fold stamps.  These make beautiful layered scenic cards.  There are 5 designs, a cottage, harvest, village, lake house and a garden.  You fold the card in thirds and stamp on each part.  I folded it creates  the layered scene.  I used Distress Stains and Distress Watercolor Pens to color them.

Cottage

Harvest

Village

Tonight I colored a stamp from Heartfelt Creations.  I used Distress Markers and Ink Pads.  I masked everything but the pumpkins and colored them with the blending tool and Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade and Wild Honey.  The rest was colored with Distress Markers.  I used the blending tool and Vintage Photo around the edges.
